Planning Your Perfect Hen and Stag Party
You may be familiar with the adage that there are 3 steps to success: PLAN, PLAN, PLAN!
With the help of Freedom Ltd we’ve set out to give you top tips and advice to guide you through the planning process to your perfect hen and stag parties.
Who... to invite? If you’re thinking “I know, I’ll contact all their friends on Facebook with the relevant details, job done”, then it’s time for a rethink.
Drawing up the invitation list is the time to exercise a little due care and attention. You’re looking for special friends who will be out to ensure that the stag/hen has the best possible time. There’s nothing worse than an atmosphere or others tiptoeing, fingers permanently crossed that previous disputes don’t flare up again.
Some friends are just a little flaky, whinge and moan that they turn into pumpkins and want to go home at midnight. You’re looking for the friends that add a little sparkle, know how to have a good time and take everyone along with them. Maybe there’s a friend that the stag/hen thinks couldn’t possible make it, but hey presto you’ve pulled them out of the bag.
TOP TIP consultation with the stag/hen is essential and raise the question of family members, do they want their dad/mum and in-laws involved?
When...to hold the party? It’s key to get this in everyone’s diary ASAP. Traditionally this has always been the weekend prior to the wedding.
With a hen party, this is often the most preferred since if the activities include some form of pampering it is the perfect prelude to the big day. Of course the stag night may need to be a little earlier – give his eyebrow time to grow back!!!
TOP TIP not too close to the big day.
Where...to go? This could well be determined by cost, obviously a long weekend in Europe is not going to suit everyone’s pocket. No, first decide with the stag/hen whether they want a weekend away, whether in the UK or abroad – of course choosing home soil makes it possible for a friend/family member to participate in part rather than the whole weekend – or if they’d prefer to stick to their home town (where you know exactly what’s on offer).
TOP TIP think about budget.
What... to do? The cries of "BUNGEE" ring out loud and clear but the volunteers are not forthcoming.
Chilled out or action packed.
The options are now so extensive from Pampering and Pole Dancing to Nude Life Drawing and It’s a Knockout. You have determined the location, now find out what is available - remember the budget. Party Planners such as Freedom have literally hundreds of options, so do a little research.
TOP TIP don’t lose sight of what this party is all about... the stag/hen. Remember at all times their personal likes and dislikes.
Once these plans are in place, get on with collecting deposits and making the bookings. All sorted? Now go and enjoy, you’ve earned it.
